Wave Scan

Is an ophthalmic diagnostic instrument that measures the refractive error and wavefront aberrations of the human eye. These measures can be used to determine the sphero-cylindrical errors that cause blurry vision. The Software uses the information to create a custom tailored correction map for the unique characteristic of each individual eye.

Why Doctor may ask for this Exam?

Eye doctor may ask for a WaveScan Test if you are planning to have a vision correction surgery, to create a “fingerprint” of your vision prior. Although other people may have the same refraction as you, your WaveScan is unique to you. This technology allows doctor to capture your refraction, including higher order aberrations, and to upload your diagnostic data to the computer that drives the laser.

What will happen during this Exam?

During the test you will be seated infront a device that will take special measures for each eye.

How much time does it takes?

This test may takes 2-4 minutes.
