Custom lasik is the procedure that uses the excimer laser, which is used by the other vision correction techniques, and combines it with iris registration technology. By doing this we offer the patient the chance to achieve visual correction better than that achieved by wearing glasses.

What’s the Iris registration technology?
It’s simply like fingerprint identification where we use the iris to make the laser machine identify the patient and adapting the change that occur in eye position when laying down on the operating table.

The Custom LASIK and the iris registration technology can help those complaining of astigmatism but it can be done for all LASIK seeking patients, or in other words for those who loves vision perfection!

What is Wavefront Aberrations ?

The corneal surface should be a part of sphere, and the surface should be smooth. Wavefront aberrations simply indicates that your corneal surface is not smooth. In other words the light beam falling on the cornea will be scattered on the retina giving you a blurry image. Example on this is the picture below which shows the Wavefront aberrations on corneal map and how the image of simple dot will appear to the patient with such aberration.
